How to Make Sweet Sauce from Maple Syrup
November 25th, 2009Maple syrup is the perfect topping for your pancakes and waffles. You can also make maple candies and many other treats using this syrup. It can also be used as alternative to sugar. Some people who love to bake and want to incorporate the rich and delectable taste of maple syrup into their cakes and breads use this syrup instead of sugar. Others also use it to make their coffee or tea sweeter. Aside from these uses, do you know that you can also use this syrup to make sweet sauce?
All you need to do is to mix together the 100 % pure maple syrup (or you can use organic maple candy) and butter in a saucepan. Bring it to slight boil while you are continuously stirring for about 3 minutes. Turn off your stove and remove your saucepan. Add evaporated milk to make it thinner and thatâ??s it. You now have homemade maple sauce.
You can use this sweet maple sauce as topping for your ice cream, blonde brownies, French toast, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, and so on.
