What really causes fear of driving?

Fear of driving phobia worsens in the long run and may lead to dependency. People who suffer from driving phobia always tend to rely on the help of others to drive them around. A person then becomes a burden to others and sometimes there is no one to offer assistance. As a result, the victim may suffer from depression or anxiety. This fear is normal like any other fear and it is easily treatable.
Fear of driving may be as result of painful or bad experiences that may have happened in the past while driving an automobile. Maybe you may have hit someone while driving or you may have been involved in a bad car accident. These experiences instill fear of diving in your mind.
